Cardi B is the latest artist to have a fan throw something while performing on stage. Over the weekend in Las Vegas, Cardi was performing her hit song "Bodak Yellow" at Drai's Beach Club when a fan threw, what looked like, water at her. However, the Bronx native didn't let the act slide. The "I Like It" rapper chucked her microphone into the crowd almost instantly, as her security team rushed to the stage. The fan appeared to have been escorted out of the venue by security. The show seemed to continue with fan video showing Cardi continuing to dance and appear unbothered. The incident is just the latest in a series of bad behavior at concerts. Artists like Harry Styles, Drake and more have become targets of objects thrown at them on stage. Singer Bebe Rexha suffered a black eye when a fan threw a phone at her during a performance in New York.Lady Gaga pays tribute to Tony Bennett: 'I will miss my friend forever'

SEATTLE – It’s a rare weekend getaway that combines subterranean sidewalks, conflagrations and a Polar Bar, complete with glacier ice. Also walruses. A little Jules Verne. And the founder of Nordstrom.Let me explain.A century ago, private clubs devoted to scientific exploration were a thing – in real life, not just in Disney movies and “Around the World in 80 Days.” New York City’s Explorers Club opened in 1904, offering expedition support, as well as libraries, lounges and grand halls where intrepid explorers – the real-life Phileas Foggs of the world – could regale fellow members with their adventures in icy climes and jungles. By Christina Maxouris | CNNIt’s that time of year again: the thick of summer when sharks have caught America’s attention.Unwanted interactions and shark sightings have made national headlines, and shark bites in popular tourist destinations have prompted temporary closures. In New York, Gov. Kathy Hochul deployed dozens of shark-monitoring drones to parts of the state after Long Island authorities reported five non-fatal shark bites over two days.It may feel like you’ve been hearing about these large creatures more often this summer, and that just might be the case. Experts say that while estimating population numbers is difficult, there are signs that some shark populations off US coasts are slowly rebounding after decades of dramatic declines – the result of longtime conservation efforts across the country that are beginning to pay off.“Sharks are coming back. Their numbers are growing,” said Dr. Bob Hueter, chief scientist for OCEARCH, a nonprofit ocean research and education org...Photos: Celebrity roundup at Bay Area Taylor Swift concerts

By Elissa Garay | CNNThe road trip-meets-camping experience afforded by camper van travel is having a moment.Interest in these compact recreational vehicles, typically outfitted with home-away-from-home comforts like sleeping spaces and kitchenettes, has surged in recent years, bolstered by social media streams flooded with images and videos depicting idealized, nature-immersive #vanlife travel scenes.Plus, at the pandemic’s height, such self-contained vans – a sort of hotel room on wheels – were perceived to offer a means of travel that cut away at health risks.Yet, for the nature-loving travelers who tend to gravitate toward these outdoor adventure-ready vans, there’s a crisis of conscience at play, given that the oversize, gas-guzzling vehicles are known for spewing out carbon emissions, as a worsening global climate crisis unfolds.Just as movement toward electric vehicles (EVs) has swept the automobile industry—with fossil fuel-powered internal combustion engines being increasin...Leaving California: Which state ‘culture’ is your best alternative?
