(BV) on Thursday reported fiscal third-quarter profit of $16.8 million.On a per-share basis, the Blue Bell, Pennsylvania-based company said it had net income of 18 cents. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs and non-recurring costs, came to 44 cents per share.The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 38 cents per share.The investment company posted revenue of $766 million in the period, which did not meet Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $777.4 million.For the current quarter ending in September, BrightView said it expects revenue in the range of $730 million to $750 million.The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $2.8 billion to $2.82 billion.BrightView shares have risen 15% since the beginning of the year. DENVER (KDVR) — A former Denver police detective was arrested after allegedly pointing a gun at a man at the Southwest Plaza Mall food court.Just after 7 p.m. on Wednesday, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said two men got into an altercation in the food court at the mall, located at 8501 W. Bowles Ave. in Littleton. Deputies said the altercation began earlier when the two men allegedly got into a verbal fight on a bus. When the suspect, Martin Vigil, 67, got off the bus, he accidentally left his phone behind.The sheriff's office said Vigil called his phone and the other man picked up and claimed he would not give Vigil his phone back unless he paid him money. Deputies said the two men agreed to meet at the food court in the mall. The Bank of England raised its key interest rate by a quarter point on Thursday to the highest since 2008, saying that while inflation has begun to fall and the economy is growing with unemployment low “inflation is still too high”. SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — At least 13 people were injured in South Korea on Thursday when a man rammed a car onto a sidewalk and then stepped out of the vehicle and began stabbing people near a subway station in the city of Seongnam.Yoon Sung-hyun, an official from the southern Gyeonggi provincial police department, said at least nine people were stabbed and four others were injured by the vehicle.
