After seven-and-a-half years of service, Fort Collins police said K-9 Inox is retiring.During his career, Inox seized over 100 pounds of illegal drugs during more than 1,000 deployments. Inox is also considered a hero after saving his handler's life twice, according to Fort Collins police. Soon, it will get dark before 8 p.m. Inox even survived a stabbing during his time of service. In 2021, an armed suspect attempted to stab Inox, but fortunately, his vest kept him safe. The K-9 officer didn't miss a beat and was back working for his community shortly after. The virus had been found in mosquitoes across seven counties in Colorado this season, Jeffco reported in a press release. Ontario launches new initiatives for women in construction The province of Ontario is working to help more women and young people enter the construction trades with three new projects. Currently, women make up less than five per cent of Ontario’s construction workforce. The government will be investing $3.6 million in all the three of these programs.The first program, run by the Provincial Building and Construction Trades Council of Ontario (PBCTCO), will help 700 tradeswoman gain leadership, communications, health and safety training and networking opportunities within the construction industry.
