AUSTIN (KXAN) – Travis County officials said visitors should plan ahead for crowds at county parks on Easter Sunday, which falls on April 9.County officials said if a park reaches maximum capacity, additional visitors will not be allowed in for the rest of the day. The county will post a closure notice on that park's webpage. The county warned that visitors will not be allowed to park elsewhere and walk in, and anyone who leaves a park while it is at capacity will not be allowed to re-enter. According to the county, parks that charge day use fees only accept cash. Credit or debit cards are not accepted at those entrance booths. Some parks offer reservations for shelters or pavilions for big groups. The county asks you do not bring confetti eggs, also known as cascarones, that contain plastic confetti. ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Today's 98.3 TRY Social Dilemma came from Jeannie and it's about neighbors and pets. Here's her email: Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! Hi Jaime. I have a dilemma and I need to know if you think I'm the bad guy here because some of my neighbors think I am but I don't. My neighbor next door has a beautiful dog, a sweet golden retriever named Sport. While they have a fenced in backyard, Sport is always digging holes under the fence and coming into my yard to go to the bathroom. I can't stand it, and no matter how many times I've told them, they've never done anything about it. So the last time Sport came over to do his business, I called animal control on him. I couldn't take it anymore. My neighbors' just got a warning, but they are furious with me. And so it seems are some other neighbors on the block. There are a few who agree with me, but most think I took it too far. I'm curious what others think ...Ask Amy: Retired officer should rejoin the family unit

Thousands of Poles marched through Warsaw and other cities on Sunday to show their support for the late Pope John Paul II in the face of what they said were false allegations that he concealed child abuse in the Catholic Church. The ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party, which faces a tough election later this year, and other religious conservatives have said any calls to re-examine his legacy amount to a plot to discredit the nation's biggest moral authority. That argument resonates strongly with many older Poles who were inspired by John Paul to stand up to Communism in the 1970s and '80s, although church attendance has been falling in the decades since the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989."I felt the need to show my connection with (the pope's) teaching," said Donata Pronczuk, a retired teacher, who came to Warsaw from the northern city of Koszalin for the march, which marked the 18th anniversary of the pope's death."John Paul II did nothing wrong. Any charges against him are false and...Luxurious Alhambra Valley Ranch property with stunning panoramic views

WATSONVILLE — Inside an evacuation center at the Santa Cruz County Fairgrounds, Maria Adolfo-Morales and a disaster service volunteer listened to a woman describe her concerns in the Mixteco language. The woman and her three children had been staying at the center for a week, after a broken levee flooded the farming town of Pajaro and forced residents to flee.Adolfo-Morales, a 22-year-old community health care worker, interpreted what the woman said into English, then rendered the volunteer’s responses into Mixteco, one of several Indigenous languages spoken in southern Mexico. The woman’s inquiries echoed those of other displaced residents: How do I apply for food assistance? How do I apply for financial assistance? Many of Pajaro’s agricultural workers are Mixteco speakers who are not fluent in English or Spanish. Adolfo-Morales and other interpreters have been a lifeline for them as they figure out how to survive after losing their homes and livelihoods. An estimated 170,000 Indigeno...Latest news
