(City of Cottage Grove)The Cottage Grove City Council appointed Pritchard to be chief, effective Dec. 30, at their Wednesday council meeting. Fire Chief Rick Redenius, who has been chief since 2012, is retiring on Dec. 29. Except for a stint from 1992 to 1994, Redenius, 55, has been with the department since 1987.The fire department has 45 employees in a combination of full- and part-time positions.Pritchard, 41, of Cottage Grove, has 18 years of experience in fire and emergency medical services, including roles as a career chief officer, paid on-call and part-time firefighter. SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Saratoga County man has been arrested following an attempted robbery investigation, according to the Schenectady Police Department. Interstate 70 eastbound is closed at the summit of Vail Pass due to a single-vehicle rollover that seriously injured at least one person, according to the Colorado State Patrol.Two people were injured in the crash, and at least one person sustained serious injuries, Master Trooper Gary Cutler said.
