Horrific crash just off Highway 4 in Antioch claims another life ANTIOCH — One of two people critically injured in a fatal crash Friday night has died from injuries, authorities said Monday.The Contra Costa County Coroner’s Office confirmed the death of that injured person at a hospital over the weekend. The other injured person remained hospitalized Monday, authorities said. All three were in the same vehicle.The collision happened about 10:18 p.m. at the intersection of state Highway 4 and Lone Tree Way before it turns into A street, authorities said. CHP investigating death of person near Livermore freeway on-ramp LIVERMORE — The California Highway Patrol was investigating Monday to determine how a person died near an exit on Interstate 580 on Sunday night.The incident first was reported about 9:20 p.m., and officers found two people down in the roadway when they responded to westbound Interstate 580 near the Isabel Avenue exit, the agency said.The CHP also was investigating a report involving an assault and an Uber at the time they were called to the scene, the agency confirmed.
