Flames tear through building on Main Street in Falmouth Multiple people were taken to the hospital Monday after flames tore through a building along Main Street in Falmouth, officials said. The fire broke out around 5 p.m. Monday afternoon and soon drew a massive emergency response near the corner of Main Street and Academy Lane.Later speaking to reporters, Falmouth Fire Chief Timothy Smith said at least two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries linked to this fire. One firefighter was also treated and later released. 18-year-old woman killed in pursuit crash after suspected theft identified ESCONDIDO, Calif. -- A suspect who died last month after an alleged retail theft that resulted into a pursuit crash last month in the Escondido area has been identified, local medical officials said.Shevondia Compare-Bell, 18, was announced as the deceased, the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office said on its website. On the evening of Dec. 18, three suspects, two women and one man, were reported to be involved in a theft at a Dick's Sporting Goods store on Auto Park Way, according to the Escondido Police Department (EPD).The suspects left the scene in a pickup truck, which was later identified as a stolen MCAS Miramar vehicle, per EPD.
