ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Crews in Albany are investigating after a fire tore through a house on Cuyler Street. The fire took place around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection with Elizabeth Street. Get the latest, news, weather, sports and community events delivered right to your inbox! Fire officials said the blaze was contained within an hour despite difficult conditions caused by close proximity of other homes. COHOES, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Cohoes-Waterford Elks held a fundraiser Wednesday for recent fire victims in the area. The Spaghetti and Meatball Fundraiser took place on Mohawk Street in Cohoes. FLORISSANT, Mo. - The family of a murder victim held a vigil Wednesday night in Saint Ferdinand Park to remember Jacqueline “Jackie” Griffin.Griffin's family came to celebrate what would have been her 30th birthday. They said they want to keep her name and memory alive and see an end to gun violence.It's been almost four years since Griffin was shot and killed inside a car on Maffitt Avenue. It happened in September 2019. No suspect has been named or arrested. CHARLES, Mo. - St. Charles city officials fielded questions from residents for about an hour, ranging from new developments in the city to flooding issues.Mayor Dan Borgmeyer led the meeting, but police, city engineers, and the parks department were on hand to answer questions. A 710 Freeway off-ramp will be closed for the next several days after a sinkhole developed in the ground beneath the roadway.The sinkhole was found on the southbound side of the 710 at the California Blvd. off-ramp, according to Pasadena City Councilmember Steve Madison, whose district represents the area where the sinkhole was discovered.Traffic is being diverted away from the off-ramp onto nearby Del Mar Blvd. and the off-ramp will be closed for at least the next several days, Madison said. A 42-year-old man facing multiple felony charges is in custody, and a female suspect is still outstanding, after a carjacking earlier this week, officials with the Redlands Police Department announced Thursday. The male suspect, Pasadena resident Jose Delgado, was arrested Mar. 27 after leading officers with the San Bernardino Police Department in a pursuit that ended in Colton. After the chase, authorities located evidence that Delgado had stolen the vehicle during a carjacking in Redlands the day before, a Redlands PD news release stated. An investigation revealed that the carjacking occurred in an alley behind the 1000 block of Tribune Street, after the victim parked his vehicle in the area with an unidentified woman he had met online earlier.
