COEYMANS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A male suspect is in custody after leading police on a chase on Monday. Anthony Starks, 24, of Coeymans, is facing charges of DWI, Reckless Driving, Speeding, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation, and Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle. Starks drove off the roadway and into a large field. Officers from Coeymans and the Albany County Sheriff's Office searched the field and saw the truck exit onto Blodgett Hill at high speeds.Starks led police on a chase, which also involved the Town of Bethlehem Police and the New York State Police. Starks failed to comply with the police. Bethlehem Police placed stop sticks on the roadway, which caused a tire blowout.Despite that, Starks continued to drive but crashed into the rear of a vehicle after failing to yield for a red light on the Delmar bypass. The "Indian Warrior" logo and naming convention have been put away - and now, the Black Bears roam Glens Falls. ST. LOUIS – A 42-year-old man is in police custody after he allegedly walked into a DGX store, stole food, and threatened workers with an axe.According to a spokesperson with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident happened at 1:45 p.m. Sunday in the 600 block of Washington Avenue.Witnesses told police the man entered the store while brandishing an axe. He ordered all the employees to stay away from him before taking several food items and made no attempt to pay for them. JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Gov. Mike Parson has announced "emergency" plans for Missouri farmers to access water and hay as drought concerns persist statewide. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, more than half of the state is considered to be in a moderate, severe or extreme drought stage. A 24-year-old female river guide from Durango drowned while rafting the Upper Animas River on Saturday afternoon, San Juan County officials announced Tuesday.Just after 1 p.m. Saturday, Silverton Medical Rescue responded to an emergency alert on the Animas River, near Tenmile Creek.According to a news release from the San Juan County Sheriff, the river guide, who has not been identified, was leading a raft of eight boaters along a stretch of the river from Silverton to Rockwood.Due to the remote location’s limited access, two rescuers, a paramedic and an EMT, entered the river via the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad with additional rescuers staged in Silverton as backup, the release stated.The rafting group had attempted resuscitation efforts before the rescue team arrived.The rescue team and other rafters involved with the incident moved the 24-year-old onto the train and transported the body to Rockwood Train station, the release stated.Keri Metzler, San Juan C...Lakewood police seek tips in hit-and-run that killed woman
