ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Albany has been home to dozens of movies and television shows. Notably, HBO's "Succession", The "Gilded Age" and "White House Plumbers" took over sections of downtown Albany over the last few years. ST. LOUIS - Whether you prefer self-checkout or help from clerks to purchase your groceries, there's a third option coming to some Schnucks store that could make your shopping experience even faster. Schnucks is preparing to roll out smart carts at select St. Louis-area stores as soon as this fall. Instacart has partnered with the grocery store chain to provide shopping carts, known as Caper Carts, that use computer vision and artificial intelligence to track what's inside. BALLWIN, Mo. - A teenager is accused of assaulting a Target employee in Ballwin as he tried to steal an Xbox gaming console from the store earlier this month. Prosecutors have charged Jayshawn Flaketurner, 19, with fourth-degree assault, attempted stealing and resisting arrest in the investigation. The incident unfolded on July 12, 2023. Car goes airborne, crashing into Lemay home, killing driver According to court documents obtained by FOX 2, Flaketurner asked to buy an Xbox at the store and an employee retrieved on from a locked case. Investigators say Flaketurner tried to use an invalid gift card, so the employee canceled the transaction. When the clerk attempted to put the Xbox back in the case, Flaketurner reportedly jumped on the employee and took him down on his back. After that, he left the store and ran toward a U-Haul in the parking lot, which drove away from the scene. Police quickly pulled over the U-Haul. A driver in a work truck led Los Angeles police officers on a bizarre low-speed chase Wednesday morning in the San Fernando Valley.Authorities eventually called off their ground pursuit.The chase began around 7:20 a.m. with a reported hit-and-run in the area of DeSoto Avenue and Lassen Street, according to Los Angeles Police. Officers spotted the vehicle and determined that it had been stolen. The LAPD pursued a pickup truck in the San Fernando Valley on July 19, 2023. Netflix has done away with its most affordable ad-free option for subscribers. Netflix has removed its $9.99 advertising-free Basic plan in the United States and in the United Kingdom. The move doesn't affect people who already have the Basic plan, but it does force new subscribers to either sign up for a $6.99 Standard with Ads tier, the $15.49 Standard without Ads tier, or the $19.99 Premium option.
