Families displaced by Ivy Crossing apartment fire worry about looters ARAPAHOE COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) — A deadly fire ripped through an Arapahoe County apartment complex early Saturday morning. The families displaced from Ivy Crossing Apartment Homes are now expressing concerns about losing the little they have left. According to the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office, they arrested two men Sunday around 8:15 p.m. on criminal trespassing. The two individuals, 32 and 21 years old, were found trespassing inside the burnt building. The Sheriff's Office said there was no evidence of looting or theft found at the time of the arrest, but displaced residents are still left unsettled. "It makes me angry," said Tristin Kubiak, who jumped from a third-floor window with his wife and dog to escape the fire. Kubiak said the property should be doing more to guard the building. Two families displaced after fire in Lynn Firefighters in Lynn responded on Tuesday as a home went up in flames on Red Rock Street. Officials said crews arrived at the scene to find fire on the porch of the home. Flames caused heat damage to some neighboring homes.No one was home when the fire broke out, though. Speaking on Tuesday, neighbors said crews raced to keep the neighborhood safe. “It was amazing to see them work together and get everything done,” neighbor Hilary Brown said. “They did a fabulous job in taking care of that and saving the homes beside it.”The Red Cross is assisting two families who were displaced as a result of this fire. The cause of the fire remained under investigation as of Tuesday night.
