A moderate-to-strong atmospheric river storm bringing what the National Weather Service called a “direct threat to life and property” approached the Bay Area on Monday for what was expected to be a nighttime arrival for more heavy rains to an already impacted region.A region-wide NWS flood watch was scheduled to go into effect from 10 p.m. Monday to 4 a.m. Wednesday. A Monday morning bulletin from the agency suggested that highly saturated soils paired with elevated river and streams levels made more water-related impacts a “sure bet.”The incoming #AtmosphericRiver will bring more heavy rain and flooding concerns beginning tonight. Make sure you are prepared for flooding and potential road closures. Remember to NEVER drive through flooded roadways. It might turn out to be the most significant game the San Jose Sharks and Columbus Blue Jackets will ever play against each other – just not in the way either organization had hoped when the 2022-2023 schedule was released.Instead of competing for playoff spots, the Sharks and Blue Jackets have sunk to the bottom of the NHL standings. And whichever team finishes with the NHL’s worst record will have a 25.5 percent chance of winning the league’s draft lottery and selecting first overall in June, thereby getting the opportunity to grab center Connor Bedard, 17, thought by some to be the league’s next generational-type talent. The NHL team with the second-worst record will have a 13.5 percent chance of winning the lottery – a significant difference.Entering Tuesday, the Blue Jackets are 32nd in the NHL with 47 points, and the Sharks and Chicago Blackhawks are tied for 30th with 50 points each, although San Jose, having played one more game, has a slightly worse points percentage.So...Judge issues arrest warrant after Roy McGrath, facing charges for fraud and embezzlement related to Md. state job, fails to appear for trial

A West Palm Beach neighborhood was hit by hate once again as several threats and antisemitic messages have been seen throughout the area over the past few months. Now residents are saying their community no longer has room for words of hate.As they pulled into their driveway, Molly and her family were shocked to find this type of message in their yard.“I think it’s just a violation of people’s property,” said Molly. “I think people just need to keep it away from people’s homes. This is their safe space.”Other neighbors in the area echoed those same concerns.“The stuff that was written about it in these little packages, it was disgusting, it was vile and it was clearly antisemitic,” said one female resident.Upwards of 100 flyers were thrown out in this West Palm Beach neighborhood which once again contained a piece of paper and small brown pellets.
