GEORGE, Wash. (AP) — Two people were killed and three others injured after police said a shooter began firing “randomly” into a crowd at a Washington state campground that was hosting people attending a nearby music festival on Saturday night, police said.Authorities received the first report of the shooting shortly before 8:30 p.m. at the camping area a few hundred yards from the Gorge Amphitheater, where thousands of people were attending an electronic dance music festival, said Kyle Foreman, public information officer with the Grant County Sheriff’s Office. The Gorge is near the small city of George, about 150 miles (239 kilometers) east of Seattle.After the initial shots were fired, the suspect started moving through the campground and “continued to shoot randomly into the crowd” until he was eventually confronted by police and taken into custody, Foreman said.The suspect was shot in the confrontation with police, Foreman said. CHICAGO — At least one person is dead and five more people are in critical condition after a shooting in the Roseland neighborhood Sunday evening, according to the Chicago Fire Department.It is unclear at this time what lead up to the shooting or the circumstances surrounding the incident other than that it happened in the area of West 99th Street and South Princeton Avenue.Fire said all six victims are adults and were taken to various local hospitals, including the University of Chicago Medical Center, Advocate Christ Medical Center and Roseland Hospital. CHICAGO — The Chicago Police Department sent out a community alert Sunday evening to notify residents in the Belmont Cragin and Humboldt Park neighborhoods about a man and a woman who robbed — and in one instance, kidnapped — elderly women on the Northwest Side last week.According to police, the man and woman approached elderly female victims and attempted to engage in conversation with them at first. After a short amount of time, the two then demanded money and jewelry from their victims.In one incident, a victim was forced into a vehicle and driven a short distance before the man and woman demanded her belongings. ST. LOUIS - St. Louis Metropolitan Police are investigating a shooting that happened early Sunday morning.It happened just after 1:00 a.m. on 14th Street and Washington Avenue downtown. Ten people under the age of 18 were shot. One person has died, the other nine are being treated at nearby hospitals.The only remnants of the scene are some leftover police tape that's already been cut down. (KRON) -- Firefighters are responding to a fire that broke out Sunday afternoon at Lake Cunningham Park, the San Jose Fire Department announced on Twitter. As of 5:30 p.m., the fire is at one acre.
