A Malden man accused of smashing a car’s windshields with a baseball bat and injuring a 1-year-old girl inside is set to appear in court this week, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.Clifford Jones, 66, had been arraigned earlier this month on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (baseball bat) on a child under 14, malicious destruction of property, possession of a class D substance, selling unstamped cigarettes, and selling cigarettes without a license.The judge had ordered Jones held on $7,500 bail. Jones is due back in court on Wednesday for a pre-trial hearing.Boston Police on July 18 at around 6:15 a.m., responded to a call for a possible hit-and-run motor vehicle accident in the area of 150 Camden St., in the South End. BARCELONA, Spain (AP) — Spanish government researchers said Sunday they had identified 357 foreign fighters who went missing during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939), the conflict that foreshadowed World War II. Researchers confirmed the names of 212 fighters from Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, according to a statement from the government Sunday. Some 102 are of German origin, 70 Austrian and 40 Dutch. It gave no information on how many people of other nationalities had been identified. The identified combatants fought within the International Brigades, military units set up by the Communist International to fight against General Francisco Franco’s fascist forces. MUNCIE, Ind. — Police are investigating after one person was killed and multiple people were shot in Muncie, Indiana, according to police. Muncie Police Department officers were dispatched to the area of South Hackley Street and East Willard Street around 1:14 a.m. on a report of multiple people shot. Ex-Facebook users can get in on the action too, as long as they meet a few criteria. The main requirement is that you had a Facebook account for any time between May 24, 2007, and Dec. 22, 2022. You also need to have been a United States resident during that period of time. Even people who deleted their Facebook account qualify – they're just likely to see a smaller payout. How big your check ends up being depends in part on how long your account was active. Facebook’s $725M settlement is huge, but how much will you actually get?
